Colman Domingo and spouse Ral Domingo are one of the most alluring celebrity couples we can’t stop thinking about from the 2023 Golden Globes. Though the “Euphoria” actor and his boyfriend rarely make public appearances together, they did so at the award ceremony on January 10 while wearing slightly coordinating clothes. Colman coordinated in a black suit while Ral donned a tailored tuxedo adorned with onyx and graphite stones. Ral described the inspiration for his attire to E! News as “all black, but he’s the one who’s flashing.” Steven Spielberg received the best director prize from Colman on stage during the ceremony for his efforts on “The Fabelmans,” and Colman shined brightly.
The Globes were the first significant award ceremony Colman and Ral attended together during their nearly 18-year relationship. They ran into one another in front of a California Walgreens in 2005 and just stared at one another. Colman described the moment of love at first sight to GQ by saying, “I just felt something.” Colman discovered a post Ral had made about him in the site’s Missed Connections area, and a few days later, they went on their first date at a pub in San Francisco. They ultimately reconnected on Craigslist, of all places. They got married in 2014 in front of 25 of their closest friends and family members at a home wedding.
The Domingos are an absolute power couple. Over the course of his 30-year career, Emmy Award winner Colman has starred in a number of well-known films, including “Zola,” “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” “Fear the Walking Dead,” “Selma,” and “Candyman.” Ral continues to develop movies more in the background, focusing on “Bottomless Brunch at Colman’s” and the upcoming science fiction thriller “It’s What’s Inside.”
The 2022 animated short film “New Moon,” which features a Black mother and son talking about their aspirations while sitting in the moonlight, was also produced and co-written by him and Colman. As the first married LGBTQ+ couple to ever be nominated in any category, if the production receives an Oscar nomination, as many reviewers are expecting, they will create history.
