When the former Dawson’s Creek actress appeared at the Rainbow Room in September 2018 for the New York Collection by Harry Winston event, everyone’s mouths dropped. In a crimson cocktail dress with a V-neckline that hung over her shoulders, the actress paraded through the streets of New York City. The classic costume received a contemporary update thanks to the cape-like appearance of the sleeves.
Katie opted to accessorise the dress with champagne-colored shoes that featured a distinctive lace-up design. She wore a choker necklace with diamonds and emeralds as well as diamond earrings. She had curled her short, dark hair in a way reminiscent of the 1940s. The native of Ohio wore a classic eye and a red lip to go with the rest of the ensemble.
Fans couldn’t get enough of the Batman Begins actress’ overt tribute to old Hollywood when pictures from the event ultimately started to appear on Instagram. Without missing a beat, several people started expressing their opinions about the appearance.
