Selena Gomez and Blackpink have only recently begun to hang out, despite already working together on the group’s smash song “Ice Cream.” That’s not their fault, though; owing to COVID constraints, the band and Gomez were had to record their portions of the music video separately. The “Calm Down” singer shared a snapshot of herself with the South Korean pop group on her Instagram on Saturday, November 26, along with the message “Selpink chillin.”
Gomez is surrounded by Jennie, Rosé, Jisoo, and Lisa in the first image, who are all sporting their own clothing. Gomez, meanwhile, dressed appropriately in a long black jacket, black shirt, and trousers. The band and Gomez look to be embracing one another in the second image.
Gomez stated that she had already met Rosé and Jisoo but was looking forward to seeing the rest of the band in a future interview with CR Fashion Book. It appears that she has now made that meeting happen.
She told the outlet, “I absolutely adore them and their vitality. “We had a great time together even though we were unable to interact in person due to the sickness. I got to meet Jisoo and Rosé in person at a fashion event a few years ago, and I can’t wait to do the same with the other girls. The music video’s filming was a lot of fun. It was interesting for me to enter their world because I prefer to make melancholy movies and they are known for their vibrant and entertaining ones.”
Blackpink are now on their “Born Pink” World Tour, thus it’s likely that they may cross paths with a number of other musicians. However, the group’s encounter with Gomez is much more enjoyable as a result of their remote collaboration.
